1. Who controls your data

eScoala.md (“eScoala”, the “Platform”, “we”) is operated by SRL Alexweb, IDNO [IDNO], registered address: [legal address, Republic of Moldova].

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may process:

• your name, email address, telephone number, city and account details;
• information submitted in a tutor profile, enquiry, application or contact form;
• information about a child provided by a parent or legal guardian, such as name, age, subject interests and educational needs;
• reviews, ratings, photographs and other content you choose to publish;
• technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, language, visit time, pages viewed, cookies and similar identifiers;
• records of communications, consents, complaints and security or moderation actions.

We do not ask users to publish health information, documents, a child's precise home address or other sensitive information. Do not include such information in reviews or public profiles.

3. Why and on what basis we use data

We use personal data to create and maintain accounts; provide school, activity and tutor directories; send an enquiry to a provider selected by the user; operate favourites, reviews and contact functions; moderate content and prevent fraud, spam and abuse; respond to requests and corrections; secure and maintain the Platform; understand and improve its use; and comply with legal obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on performance of our terms with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Platform, or a legal obligation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Children's data

eScoala serves families, students, parents and educators. A user under 16 should use interactive Platform features with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Forms containing a child's data should be submitted by a parent, legal guardian or a person who has the permission required by law.

We do not knowingly collect a child's personal data without the required permission. If you believe this has occurred, contact info@escoala.md and we will investigate and delete the data where appropriate.

5. Sharing and international transfers

We may share only the data necessary with a tutor, school or educational provider selected by the user; hosting, email, analytics, support and security providers; professional advisers and contractors bound by confidentiality; public authorities where required by law; or a successor if the project is reorganised or transferred subject to applicable safeguards.

eScoala does not sell personal data. Where a provider processes data outside Moldova, we use safeguards required by applicable law for international transfers.

6. Cookies and analytics

We may use strictly necessary cookies for login, security, language and preferences. Optional analytics or advertising cookies should be used only after consent where required. You can change your choice through cookie or browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may affect Platform functions.

7. Retention and security

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, dispute resolution, security and legal compliance. Account data is generally retained until deletion; enquiries for a reasonable period needed to handle them; and technical logs for a limited security period. Certain records may be retained longer where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

We use reasonable organisational and technical security measures. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access and information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, object to processing, withdraw consent and request human review of a solely automated decision where applicable.

Send requests to info@escoala.md. We may verify your identity to protect your data. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova.

9. Third-party links and changes

The Platform may link to schools, tutors and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own. We may update this Policy and will publish the current version with its revision date. We may notify registered users of material changes.
